Drew,
It depends on your individual perception of the word "stove", the one I bought was sold as a "Massey-Harris wood burning Stove", which of course does give off heat so could be a "heater".
Which ever way you look at it the two generations of owners had certainly used the open grille top to keep pans warm, because I spent a whole weekend cleaning the hard dry burnt on spillages from the brown enamel casing.
The only other brown stove / heater I have seen is in Keith Oltroggee's collection, does anyone know of any more?
