RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

It is just a one day Saturday event Alan, I am sure you would really enjoy the variety on offer there, I didn't get to spend much time with the ploughing, but it covered steam, horse vintage and modern tractor classes, plus the usual Ferguson class.

It was the day for Lamborn cabs, here is another make of tractor which I have affection for as you know, so this one caught my eye last Saturday, it was very original plus the nicely restored Vicon fertiliser spreader and cage wheels made it stand out in the crowd.

RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

You had a nice autumn day yesterday for your ploughing day Alan, good to see you flying the M-H flag with some very neat work with your 333 and plough on some very clean and short stubble. Very wet here today so you was lucky.

Okay Alan, with all that experience you need to find your way to Illinois for the MCA Plow Day the end of the month!!  It is October 25th in Varna.  Check out the event page and the Clipper for more details!

It should be a fun event with lots of Massey stuff at work!!

Gary

I would love to be at The MCA Plow Day but I am afraid I won't be. I did go to to the IPM in Canada in 2011 which I enjoyed very much.

Perhaps someone can post some photos on here of your plow day.

Seen recently at the Cheffins Autumn vintage auction ( I know this is not a UK show, but sometimes an auction is just as interesting as a show)

This very original M-F 154 Crawler had been well cared for by it's local Cambridgeshire owner during it's working life, a high percentage of the original paintwork would really clean up and look well if oiled, it had it's original front weights and rear three point linkage, a superb late model example of this Italian Landini based crawler, which a few years ago were very popular in Eastern England for low ground pressure application of fertilizer and chemicals, cultivations and drilling etc, it created a lot of interest on the day and sold very well.

RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

It's the end of rally and show season here in UK and to wind up the year the indoor grand finale was The Newark Indoor Tractor Show this weekend, one of their features this year was the M-F 100 Series together with a great First World War theme were just two aspects of a wonderful and diverse show with over 800 tractors shown, plus the usual auction, swap meet and trade stalls selling new and used parts.

Good to see a few UK Massey Collector Association members there flying the flag, plus a regular visitor to this show from Indiana USA, a few weeks ago we thought the score was going to be "2" from Indiana, but unfortunately "1" dropped out, maybe the "Cummins" engined truck would not start to get to the airport on time!!!

I will kick off with a few photo's and expect Alan will add to it as I know his camera was busy on Saturday.

RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

Here are a few more photos from Newark.

The Mustang, Colt and Pony ( which I understand was the first one in the country) were all first prize winners. The owner is standind behind the Mustang. Another first prize winner was an International Titan ( which I know is not Massey) but was an original First World War Import and helped to save the Nation from stavation. It now lives in Lincolnshire.

The other two photos are of a nice 1080 and a MF Hay Conditioner.
