RE:Massey's around the UK Shows in 2013.

Hi Jon It was at Little Casterton in Rutland I think although it could just be in Lincolnshire. A lovely working day with a lot of interesting stuff there. Here are some more photos although they are not Masssey. Alan

Thanks for the photo's Alan, it was good to see you enjoying the day on Sunday, amazing how it changed from being very wet to brilliant sunshine, then further rain when loading up and travelling home.

I just wanted to mention it's not often you see two styled 25's at one event here in England, so here are a few photo's of two together this weekend. I had heard of this recent import tractor about two years ago when they were looking for a new cylinder liner, apparently a new set of four was machined to get it up and running, first time I have seen it out.

For the M-F enthusiasts enjoyment here are a few photo's at yesterdays Club working day held at Sibsey near Boston, Lincolnshire.

Its not often you see a 4880 at work, seen here pulling a nine furrow Dowdswell reversible plough, it sounded superb and dwarfed the 1200 pulling a very rare M-F 160 five furrow conventional plough, when the 1200's came out in the 1970's we though they were huge.

Thanks for sharing, Malcolm.  Wish I could have been there to watch and listen.  The Cummins V-903 does have a very unique sound under load.  The 4880 has a turbo whilst my 4840 does not, and results in a different exhaust note.  The exhaust "beller" of the naturally aspirated V-903 with straight pipe is a thing of beauty!  (At least for this old diesel engineer..)  :-)

We had our last Show of the season at Newark in Nottinghamshire this weekend. I saw this nice Pacemaker and Sprayer there. I think that is the owner with his back to us in deep conversation. Alan

Here's an MF 135 tractor painted PINK.  I would normally ignore such an object thinking it ugly!  However investigation reveals it has been extensively used for charitable causes on road runs so well done and it is all forgivable.  Seen at the Bala Transport Festival.

"PINK is the FASHION" of today John.

One of our Club Stands at Carrington is organised by The Lincolnshire Ladies Road Runners, they do a tremendous job in fundraising for Cancer Research and always attract a lot of attention at our rally and other local events.

Their pink TE 20 tractor can be seen in the background of this photo of another narrow Ferguson fitted with an usual crop sprayer.
