RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

C705 is a cream separator wrench.  Probably a # 4 or #5 separator.  The R prefix is for Rakes.  The J prefix is for Discs , both tandem and one way. P and PE are plow wrenches.  I don't thik the TU number is a Massey number.

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Hi Keith!!

Thanks for the info on the wrenches.  I never realized the letters represented a particular implement or tool.  There is always room to learn!!

Thanks

Gary

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Hello Keith,

Thanks for the info. I like Gary hadn't realized what the letters stood for. That will be most helpful.

Need to look into the TU #

Thanks

Alan

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

HELP, Does anyone have a Z 435 wrench in their collection that is 6inches long with 3/16" and 2 7/8" jaws. In the parts book it says it was supplied with a No 6 Ensilage Cutter. I think it may be a printing error. I have a Steel Z 435 that is 8" long with 3/4" and 7/8" jaws and a malleable one that is 8" long with 3/4" and 1" jaws. Any help would be most welcolm. Alan

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Does anyone have any M-H wrenches in their collections  that went with the tractors model # 12-20 model # 25, GP etc. These wrenches would have a part # starting in AA and AT. Also from Cream Separators. These wrenches start with a C.

If you have and could send me a photo of them that would be very useful to put into the list of M-H wrenches that I am making,

Thanking you in advance.

Alan

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Alan,
The wrenches that came with the 12-20, 25, GP etc.  were not marked at all.  They have no part # or MH on them.  If a wrench has an AA or AT at the start of its part # it would be for the #1 , 2, or 3 Parrott type tractors.

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Thanks Keith. Yes the AT wrenches were for the #1,2 and 3 tractors. The AA were for stationary engines. The wrenches for the tractors were up in the # 12025 T + and ending in a T.

If anyone does have any numbered wrenches or have some that they know the number of a photo would be most welcome. It looks a lot better on the list that an image out of a parts book.

Thanks

Alan

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

I only have 2 cream seperator wrenchs. The first is C139. The second is C280. There is a top handle C281 that goes with the C280 but I have never been able to find it. I wonder if it has M-H on it? Alan, you can use these if you want.

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Wayne,

Is this the handle you were talking about for the C280 wrench? Here are two of them in a collection at the show in Paisley last fall. Not the best pictures of them, maybe Malcolm took better pictures??

RE:Massey-Harris Wrenches

Wayne,

Thanks for the photos. A photo next to a part # on the list looks a lot better than an image out of a parts book that is just a black silhouette.

I've got about another couple of days on the M-H list then I'm going to move onto Wallis, Verity, Johnson Harvester Co etc.

Joe

Thanks as well. I think I got a photo of a handle at Paisley.
