RE:Home Page Photographs

You can keep the snow, haha! Here in Indiana its been up and down with temps. No wonder people are sick. Cheers, Dakota

RE:Home Page Photographs

Malcolm,

I don't know what the answer is.. I'm thinking we need some more Global Warming!! This storm was well advertised for several days now and still took many people by surprise. We got about 13 inches of snow with 55 mph winds. My road was impassible for about 24 hours, I tried to drive my snowmobile down the road and just about got stuck as it was so deep. The plow finally went by today around 7:30 am and opened the road. Here is a picture of a road just 1 mile north of me I took this afternoon, they are trying to open it up with a Dozer.

I did manage to make it to Zumbrota today witch is only about 12 miles from here, I got to see it in person the 150 year old Covered Bridge roof collapsed from the heavy snow. This is the only Covered Bridge left in Minnesota, they better get to work and fix this as I believe they are to celebrate it turning 150 years old this summer.

All.
i've been looking at all the snowy pictures over there in the US, what a contrast to our weather here in the Eastern side of the UK! Frost at nights but daytime temperatures of 14/15 degrees 'C,' the grass is growing, spring flowers appearing and no appreciable rain for several months. As we usually get your weather about 2 weeks later than you I wonder what March will bring us! Spring cultivations have started as the lighter land is dry enough to work.

Joe,

Don't get depressed by global warming!  Instead take a look atv our spring flowers as we bask in the warmth of one of the warmest Februarys on record.  No doubt we will have to pay for it as the tail end of your snow hits us

RE:Home Page Photographs

I noticed the snow piles were getting higher in MN on the homepage photo's yesterday, followed by a welcomed change this morning with bunch of Spring like shots with plenty of sunshine, it certainly brightens up a dull, wet and windy morning here in Eastern England.

Did the weather keep many away from the Spring Meeting last weekend? was expecting to see some sort of report on here by now for the first Massey Meet of 2019.

Joe,

I keep admiring the photo of the 20-30 Wallis Orchard on the homepage, when are we going to hear a bit more about it from the owner (I presume Tom) or yourself?? It looks like he has been busy working on the tractor and had it out for a photo shoot.
