Massey Days 2019

Greetings all,  Tis that time of year again to kick off the 2019 Show Season.  And no better place to start than Massey Days 2019 being held at our farm at Muscatine, Iowa, June 6,7,and 8.  Konnie and I have been busy with details to make the experince one to remember. I doubt that we can out do the Shows Mom and Dad did over the years, but were gonna try.  If you have any questions , or concerns drop us a line, we will try to accomidate as many requests as we can.  I would recommend reserving your room at a Motel soon.  Muscatine has a large Soccer Complex and in the past hosted many summer events.  If one falls on this weekend, all rooms will be booked.  I have asked around and no answer has been given to us.  So, clean em up and load um, for Massey Days.  See you soon !!!!!!!  Tim Pace

RE:Massey Days 2019

Greetings once again,  Well Mother Nature has decided to once again test my faith this Spring.  Just heard the near by Weather report calling for most of Iowa to receive 7 inches of rain over the next 8 Days.  We have only had 2 days of field work in the last 3-4 weeks, and then that was ugly farming. But.......  since the Homestead is on high ground there are no problems if it rains during Massey Days.  Lots of room for tall tales and some truths in the shed.  No boat anchors required attached to your Tractor either.  So plan to attend.  See you soon !!!!!!!!  Tim and Konnie

I find the 444 propane very intriguing for some reason. Maybe its because I havent seen many of them.

RE:Massey Days 2019

Well, I believe that I have began to relax to the point that I would like to thank all of our Massey Family who made the trip to Muscatine,  Konnie and I know the trips get long and many, but you all made it a Grand Time at Sweetland Center.  I thumbed through Joe's pictures and missed a couple so Thanks to you Joe.  I would like to comment on the 3 Tractors and Plow in front of my Shed.  The first Tractor used on our farm was a Wallis Cub JR,  serial 10060.  The style was like Joe's Cub JR but I haven;t run across one yet.  The second Tractor is a Wallis 12-20.  The first Tractor dad learned to drive was a 12-20.  The 2 bottom Pulverator Plow pictured has been owned by my family since new, it was pulled by one of the two Massey GP;s ( 4 wd ) . owned by my Great Grandfather.  The final Tractor is my grand father's Massey Harris 44.  Still runs and we use it a lot for the loader.  This old girl some day will need a lot of love!!!!!!  I was going along and before I knew it , it was Saturday,  Wow time flew.  Many Thanks to all who were gracious to donate items for the benefit Auction, as well as those who bought.  When one of my sister's pies brought 17.50 I turned to my sister Deb and said , go home and bake more pies !!!!!  We all got a chuckle out of that !!!!  Well ,  when you offer to host a Show like this, you seem to plan and plan,  then some things go off without a hitch, some things need tweeked.  I feel proud of my Family who stood behind Konnie and I, and the show would have flopped without them.  Thanks again and we will be seeing at our next outing !!!!!  Tim and Konnie Pace

RE:Massey Days 2019

Hey Tim,

Sorry I couldn't make it to your Massey Days.  But, when it is the second weekend of June, and there are still acres of corn and soybeans to be planted, and it's dry enough to plant....    Well, you know.

Glad it turned out well and you all had a good time.

Cheers,

JB
