Coventry memorial plaque

Last weekend Richard Markwell, head of AGCO/MF, unveiled a memorial plaque to the world famous Banner Lane tractor factory that made all the Ferguson TE tractors then wen on to make successive MF tractors.  The plaqe was cast at a foundry in the English Midlands not too far away. The plaque is located very near to one of the old factory gates.  The factory site is now a hosuing estate.

These photos were supplied to me by Ted Everett, the MF AGCO photographer who started with Harry Ferguson and now has over 60 years continuous service with the company under his belt.  Thank you Ted!! - and long may you reign in the audi visual department.

OOOPs - sorry - the photo fiiles are too large - I'll have to get back in the future when I've had an expert reduce them

I would think there will be key chains, medallions, fobs, etc. from this piece of art.  I hope our English friends will make sure some of us Americans will can some of those very limitied edition items!?!?!?

Still can't get them on Gary - they will have to wait till after Rushville.  I have heard that they are thinking of having some pin badges made so will keep my eyes and ears open.
