Massey Feature at Heritage Park Forrest City Iowa.

This is one show I have had on my list to visit for a while, I have heard very good reports on the grounds and amount of quality early gas tractors and steam engines there owned by Jerrod Ruddle, unfortunately timings for me being there at show time have never worked out, so I am hoping we get to see a good coverage of the show on here, hope some of the Iowa Massey Collectors have their cameras with them this weekend and are willing to share the show on here and let us know how good the Massey Feature was in Iowa.

I am sure Bob, Kurt and others will be contributing but here are a few shots from Forest City, Iowa!!  This was a nice show and an exceptional show grounds.  They had a large village with many buildings that added to the history of the area and the agricultural way of life.  Some of the areas seemed to allow you to go back in time walking to the barn to milk or prepare for a hard day of work on the farm!!  Here are a few to set the stage!!

School was in recess so the kids were out playing on the school grounds.  The church was beautiful and it was nearly impossible to take a picure without seeing the curch in the background

Of course we had to keep Joe away from the corn picker monument. Definitely an interesting tower that told a neat story!!

Malcolm,

You were lucky you weren't here as you would have pulled your back out reaching over the fence to pull this rare piece out of the iron pile display for parts!!

This was one of the best shows I've been to in a long time that had this much of the really really old stuff... Trucks, Tractors, Bicycles, Engines, and many more cool displays.

Here is a picture of Steve getting an interview on his Massey Harris stove.

Also a taste of "Massey Men's Food" homemade Fry bread.

Keep the photo's coming Gary,

I bet it was not just Joe looking at the monument, I am sure there would be several people looking at the scrap pile and thinking they could use various parts for their restoration projects, some interesting lumps of iron placed around the monument.

Since posting this Joe's photo's have come up, wow what a pile of yard art, definatley not a scrap pile, thanks for the great photo's and some very nice early tractors in the back ground. Your right Joe I could just do with the feeder elevator chain off the "Blizzard" right now in readines for completion of mine this winter, you just never know whats sitting around.

Malcolm,

Did you get a tingle in your stomach when you noticed the "Blizzard" in the pile?

Also I forgot to mention that the Iowa chapter now has bragging rights as there were more Wallis tractors at there state show than the National show...

Here are some non Massey tractors that I really enjoyed looking at on display.
