2015 Feb. visit to Ken & Patti Eders vast collection in NC

I was aware of Ken Eders at Auuman Auction in New York two years ago. He was passing out flyers to the Eastern US Cat Club who he was hosting at his place fall 2013. Last fall they had 17,000 people attend their own show. I made a brief arrangement to stop by on my way north from Flywheelers and Daytona 500. I DID NOT KNOW THE SCOPE OF A COLLECTION I WOULD FIND.
Luckily I met Ken who had just returned from his railroad repair, salvage, emergency day on the job. He gave me a two plus hour tour of steam tractors, prairie tractors, tractors on steel, vintage on rubber, four wheel drive, vintage trucks, hit & miss engines. He has a mock up of a IH dealership and a "CAT  House" full of Cat, AC and many vintage industrial pieces.
I won't bore you or make you mad with the 250 images I shot. I will start with the MHF, Wallis, Sawyer Massey units.
I thank Patti and Ken for their hospitality.

This group of images will give you a better idea of the SCOPE of this collection.
I would certainly go back down to NC to review Ken & Patti's layout---maybe catch their "100 Years of Progress" show in the fall--usually November.

WOW!!  What a find!!  Some very nice pieces and a massive collection!  Pretty bad when you have to post a map as to where everything is!!  Some great pics and a great find.  Definitely will have to put it on the list when I go that direction!!

Hopefully, he will bring some of his Masseys and Wallis' to the National show in a couple years!!

Thanks again for sharing with us all!!

Congrats on helping some folks with posting. To keep my knowledge sharp I thought I would add this shot of Curtis Mabe of NC. He is an AC guy I met at Jim Erdle sale.
This vintage green AC was once owned by a local Dr. according to Curtis. That Dr. promoted the use of KUDZU for animal feed. Kudzu is now a pest species that takes over 100,000 acres a year. Locally we had a farmer promote Multi Flower Rose---his name is frowned upon locally these days.  I also added a pic of a WD-45 he converted to a theme tractor with 10,000 names of NC war deaths since WWII.
