Anniversary Shows

2016 is certainly a memorable year for all Ferguson Collectors, with celebration shows and events planned around the world throughout the year to celebrate.

The 80th Anniversary of the Ferguson Brown, 70th Anniversary of the famous TE    and 60th Anniversary of the FE tractors.

Recently at our Annual Carrington Rally at the end of May in Lincolnshire, in the tractor section we featured Ferguson Brown through Ferguson and Massey Ferguson.
With the help of our local Lincolnshire Group of "The Ferguson Club" a wonderful and varied display was put together and enjoyed by the many visitors over the two days of the show. It was a very global event with visitors from both Australia and the USA, together with exhibitors from all corners of the United Kingdom and one US owned Ferguson TEE put in an appearance on The Starting Handle Club Stand.

Enjoy a few photos of the event.

RE:Anniversary Shows

As many of you will know the very first tractor Harry Ferguson sold in Ireland was the "Overtime" Model "R" tractor as it was known in the UK, or Waterloo Boy for our overseas viewers.
My 1916 single speed Model R Overtime joined both the "Ferguson and 100 years old features" at this years event.

RE:Anniversary Shows

Having M-F within our feature this year enabled the growing "Horticultural Section" of the rally to be part of the tractor feature, an impressive line up for a UK event.

RE:Anniversary Shows

Here we have four very knowledgeable British Ferguson enthusiasts enjoying the mass of grey at our rally.

From left to right

Chris Astell well known for his work at "Vintage Brass Plates"  several of you around the world have repro tags on your tractors from him. He was at the rally with his very original Ferguson Brown which he and his dad have owned for many years.

Alan Sale another very talented collector and restorer who has a large and varied collection of all makes, seen here with his Ferguson Brown and recently restored Bamford hay turner.

Peter Smith and Julie Browning famous worldwide for their immense knowledge on all aspects of Ferguson tractors and implements.

We were very honoured to have all these serious Ferguson collectors travelling,  participating and enjoying our Ferguson Anniversary rally this year.

RE:Anniversary Shows

Malcolm,

What an incredible display of Ferguson and MF you had pulled together with the Overtime to set up the lineage.  How many tractors in total?  I doubt that any of the specialist clubs have ever had such a line up.  A credit to you all and shows what really can be done if you put your mind to it.

You were lucky to get Peter and Julie Browning to travel such a distance with their rare and so original Ferguson 40

John
