Pacemaker Oil Pressure Gauge

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can get an oil pressure gauge for a Pacemaker?

I can't fine a gauge anywhere with a course enough thread - Ive tried three that are all very close but not right. I've found a bolt which fits - it is 7/16 with 20 threads per inch - but I cant find an oil pressure gauge with such a thread!

Cheers, Jon.

Were the ones you tried 1/4-18npt?

Jon,

Oil gauges that look right can be had.  Usually you have to get an adapter made which is easy enough at a mchine tool shop.  I've had several done in the past out of brass.

I agree with John on the adapter thing.  Most of my spare gauges have 1/8-27 threads.  If the 7/16-20 bolt fits good, shorten a bolt that has the threads all the way to the hex head. Drill a small hole through it. Drill and tap the hex end for 1/8-27.  Wa-la, a cheap adapter.  You might want to put a copper gasket ring under the bolt head when you install it as the straight threads may or may not seal with tape or sealant.

Jon

here are some photos of the adaptor what John described this morning, if you have not got fixed up by the time you visit Lincolnshire there is a spare adapter and gauge here.

RE:Pacemaker Oil Pressure Gauge

Thanks Gents, I've been digging through my thread charts and I think the pipe union is AN-4, so yes I can see why it needs an adapter.

Thanks Malcolm, lets see what I can sort out, but thats great to know thanks vm.
